Orange County engagement session
“All, everything that I understand, I only understand because I love.”
-Leo Tolstoy
Heydi and Ernest wanted a fall looking landscape for their engagement session, but nature was looking down at us and laughing. Big time. There was no fall trees to be had. Matter of fact, we were experiencing triple digit weather in sunny California. We had spent weeks leading up tho their engagement session trying to find the prefect place, but fall foliage wasn’t in the cards. They ended up deciding that if they couldn’t have fall looking pictures, then they wanted a forest type of environment-sunshine and all. So we headed to Orange county for their engagement session, which has an area with hidden redwoods. You can access these redwoods via a 15 minute walking trail (which Heydi decided to do in heels-she convinced us she was comfortable, but there is no way I’m buying that). Once we got there Heydi and Ernest were literally up for anything (um did you see the pictures of Heydi running with her heels on? Yeah, that was by choice).
To be honest we laughed and played the entire time-running around as if we were all 12 years old. At the end of the evening we walked back and talked about their intimate wedding (which I was photographing that same week). It felt like I was visiting with old friends and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding.
If you’d like to book an orange county engagement session (that’s gonna give you all the feels, make your grandma happy, and make you want to print every last picture) please contact me here. Of course it can be anywhere in the world, because I’m always up for adventure 😉
