“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever. ”
-The Notebook
Alice and Andrew wanted a modern engagement session, so we headed to the DWP building in downtown Los Angeles. It seriously is the perfect place. You have a view of the downtown city skyline that makes for some romantic pictures. Also, can we talk about the light in these pictures? It just oozes out all sort of luminous vibes that had me so excited to get my film scans back. As a photographer I’m always seeking the best light and don’t mind traveling, hiking, walking until I find it. If I’ve photographed you, you know it’s true.
I was so overjoyed when Alice told me that they wanted to bring their puppies along (because, of course, we needed a family portrait). If you know me, you know I love dogs, so I was super excited to meet them!! The backstory is that I knew Alice from having had the wonderful opportunity of working with her. She’s an amazing calligraphy artist and has given me the most beautiful invitation suites to photograph. It was fun to be turing the tables and having her in front of my camera. All of it was so easy because it was like photographing a friend. These two are beyond sweet with impeccable style that would make you want to raid their closets. I can’t wait to shoot their modern wedding next year! It’s going to be all sorts of amazing.
Even though I’m a Los Angeles photographer, I travel everywhere for photography. If you’d like a wedding or engagement session with Lucy Munoz please contact me here so we can make some magic 🙂
