Well, this Colorado engagement session is one for the books. First of all, I had never been to Colorado but I had wanted to go for so long. When Diana emailed me to let me know she wanted her engagement session in Vail, Colorado I did not hesitate to say yes. Then she let me know it would be at Piney River Ranch and I almost died and went to camping-glamping heaven.I mean it’s seriously breathtaking!

As soon as I got there we wasted no time getting ready to go for a leisurely hike with  Diana, Daniel, and Leo (their beautiful fur baby–who we could not keep out of the water, so it made for some laugh out loud moments). On our walk, Daniel told me the story of how he met Diana. It happened when he made the cheer team at Penn State (yes, ladies better than Tinder). Of course I couldn’t wait to see some of their lifts and I made them do some for me (because hello, they were on the cheer team, so it was completely important to at least document some of their skills!)

I also need to mention that the weather was all over the place. At times it rained, then we had a bit of sun, then it would go completely overcast, but we didn’t care, since the scenery was so breathtaking– it really made no impact on us whatsoever.

As evening progressed  Daniel and Diana laid on the grass and let twilight set in. I love those pictures of Diana and Daniel on the blanket soaking in all the beauty around them. They were so relaxed they could’ve easily fallen asleep on that blanket.

It was so beautiful to see how much love is between these two. I laughed so hard during their session that by the time I got in my tent and under my sleeping bag, my side was aching-the good kind of aching. You know what I’m talking about…the kind where you’ve laughed so much you feel content and full of happiness and you wish you could do it all over again? Yeah, that kind.

Diana and Daniel I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next year in Colorado. It’s going to be epic. Not because you’re having it at a gorgeous location (which you are), but because I get to take more pictures of you two–and that makes me so happy!

Much love to the both of you!!

p.s. these two are not models (even though they look like they are). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. They are just two people very much in love. You bring the love and I bring my camera. The rest is easy.
